NASCAR Fans: Expect Consistent Sprint Cup Start Times in 2010

Every Sprint Cup race in the eastern and central regions will begin at 1:00 p.m. ET, west coast events will begin at 3:00 p.m. ET, and night races will begin at 7:30 p.m. ET. The one exception is NASCAR’s Memorial Day classic, the Coca-Cola 600, which will have the same 5:45 p.m. ET start time.

Apparently the NASCAR Fan Council, which is comprised of 12,000 fans, has had a major influence on NASCAR’s decision to alter or standardize the start times for the Sprint Cup Races in 2010. I know for my family it has occasionally been frustrating because of the inconsistent start times, but it seems that almost is part of the fun too. But I guess when all is said and done, I actually like the standardization because it means one less thing to worry about. What do you think?
